Welcome to the home site for SOUR, the Saint Louis Obsydian Users Roundtable.

SOUR exists to exchange ideas, information, and experiences among users of Obsydian in Saint Louis, Missouri area. I decided to call it a Roundtable rather than a Users Group for the same reasons King Arthur established his Knights of the Roundtable - all members are equal in the group. My goal is to have all members of the group participate fully in discussion and demonstration of Obsydian-related topics.

The biggest problem I've found with other user groups is that just a few people drive the group's activities while many others take passive roles in which they simply attend the meetings and expect to be taught. Not so with SOUR. In fact, the only requirement for attendance is that you promise to participate. Now, this doesn't mean you'll be shunned by the others if you don't say something for a couple of meetings, but you are expected to take part.
